If you ever travel to Lisbon, don’t forget to
- stroll through the old quarters of Alfama, Castelo and Mouraria
- watch out for great street art
- eat Pastéis de Nata at Confeitaria dos Pastéis de Belém in Belém
- follow the cats
- go treasure hunting at Feira da Ladra
- visit the peacocks at Castelo Sao Jorge and enjoy the view of the city from up there
- hang out with the fishermen
- have a shoeshine in the streets of Baixa and Chiado
- eat Portuguese cheese and seafood
- go dancing at Bar Anos 60 – local bands play there almost every night, the people are great and very warm
- listen to the river Tejo
- take the tram 28 to the old cemetery – but only if you’re not afraid of ghosts
- spend some time in one of the botanical gardens
- admire the azulejos
- go to Esquina de Alfama to listen to some great Fado musicians and singers
- ENJOY!
